Production process
As there is no heating during production, common defects in hot rolling, such as pock marks and oxidized scales, are absent, resulting in a good surface quality and high finish. Cold-rolled products also exhibit high dimensional accuracy, and their performance and structure meet specific requirements such as electromagnetic properties and deep-drawing capabilities.
Application areas
Cold-rolled thin steel sheets is commonly referred to as cold-rolled sheet or simply cold sheet, and is sometimes mistakenly written. It is made from hot-rolled steel strips of ordinary carbon structural steel, further cold-rolled to produce steel sheets with a thickness of less than 4mm.
